Coordinating Council of Community Organizations records, 1964-1968 (bulk 1965-1967).

The collection consists of records of the Coordinating Council of Organizations (CCCO) from 1964-1968. The records include correspondence, press releases, research reports, clippings and leaflets. Materials mainly document the CCCO's activities in desegregating housing and education. Of particular interest are records pertaining to the Chicago Board of Education and the attempt to remove Superintendent Joseph Willis. A majority of the correspondence is that of convener Albert Raby, other notable correspondents include Benjamin W. Heineman, Robert Hostetter, and Harold Howe.
